After reading Dear Mr. Blueberry about a girl who discovers a blue whale in her backyard pond, 2B considered strange animals that might unexpectedly arrive in their backyards. They wrote convincing letters to Mrs. Jarratt, our 2nd grade science teacher, to explain how they identified their animals and how they planned to care for these unusual animals.
