Mr. Popper's Penguins by Richard and Florence Atwater tells the unusual story of a man who dreams big about exploring the North and South Poles! In this book he is surprised to find a penguin delivered to his door one day and sets about making room for this penguin in his family's home. If you could adopt any odd pet, what would it be? I would want to adopt a platypus. I guess he'd have to live in our bathtub or we'd have to put a pond in our backyard. Or perhaps, he could stay in the pond at the end of our street. I hope my platypus would be pretty self-sufficient because we are so busy with all our family activities, but maybe we could take him out for a shrimp dinner on Friday nights.
I would want to adopt a Kohala. He could stay outside we live behind the woods so its ok. For him to sleep out there in the branches! I would take care of him by feeding him morning,noon,or night and letting him sleep 3 hours at morning and evening so he dosen't get to sleepy when I play with him. I will let him get some excersize when he wakes up from his daily nap. I think Mr. Popper shall let the Penguins live with him by making them Movie Stars so he can get money! Thats what I will do if I had a strange pet
I want a pig. I would feed it with rotten pizza. He would sleep in my playroom.I would play ONK ONK with him!That means FIGHT!!!!
I would like to have a lizard.I would take care of it by feeding it crickets and dusted meal worms.I think that Mr.Popper should take the penguins to Antarctic because the penguins could be safe in Antarctic and if the penguins are movie stars they could get shot.
My strange pet would be a springer spaniel.I would take care of it by keeping him healthy by throwing a dummy.I think Mr.Popper should let them go to the North Pole.Ps I would feed it dog food.
I would like to adopt a parrot. We would have to get a cage for him. I don't want a parrot always flying around my house. I would give it some parrot food to eat. My sister would probably be scared of him. Mr. Popper should put the penguins in the Arctic.
I would want to adopt a platypus. I would order a really big salt water tank, a lot of platypus food, and get a cone of shame. I would like to let him sleep with me. (I hope he eats the bed bugs and doesn't bite me!) Sincerely, Andrew
I Would like to adopt a lizard. it would live in my lizards cage and feed it meel worms and crecets. MR. Popper should bring the penguins to there home so they will be safe.

I would want to adopt 2 wolfs and a monkey I would make separate rooms for the monkey and the 2 wolfs then I would get another monkey for company then I would train then 2 monkeys and wolfs to be friends and then we would go out to eat every Friday.
